Even though the show was a bit of a trainwreck and some of the wins were.. not great, there’s still a lot to love about the 81st Academy Awards. First off, Kathryn Bigelow became the first female to win Best Director and then, we all let out a sigh of relief that Avatar didn’t win Best Picture (even though Tom Hank’s announcement of the winner was abrupt to say the least). And who didn’t love that crazy redhead lady.
